The day began with Dads rendition of “The First Noel,” and Eggs Benedict.
Christmas Dinner (or at least the parts I managed to snap pics of)
We also had an apricot glazed ham, brie en croute, crudite, spicy shrimp cocktail, and cranberry/pecan quinoa
and each dinner guest left with a box of homemade chocolate truffles.
Each year, we have a tradition of sharing a wish we have for the person giving the gift. At around the millionth time of hearing Mariah’s version of “All I want for Christmas,” I teared up as everyone around the room shared such thoughtful blessings for one another. What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?
Per usual, my Dad imparted gag gifts. This year, we received these
and Mama’s tradition of tucking in a slip of inspiration with each gift received
I hope that everyone enjoyed their time with their loved ones.
I’ll be leaving for NY at 4 am (eek)! See y’all Saturday!!
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~
Happy New Year! Everything looks delicious

Apricot glazed ham sounds AMAZING. Also, what is that fabulous looking Christmas-tree shaped concoction?!
A fruit tree. Of all the food there, Dad was the most fascinated with that, not the beef dish that took me 6-7 hours to make, lol.
